Ride A Pet Volcanic Egg Location & Egg Guide
Every 'egg location' question in Ride A Pet comes down to the same mechanic: eggs spawn around the map on a cycle, they are free to grab, and they vanish if you are too slow. Here is how to actually catch them.

1. Eggs are free — and they expire
Normal eggs around the map are not shop purchases. When one appears you have to physically reach it, and the window is short: community guides put it around 20 seconds. If you are AFK, on a slow pet, or across the map, the egg is gone before you arrive.
Eggs respawn on roughly an 8-minute cycle, so a hunt is a loop rather than a one-off trip. The in-game Index shows how many of each egg are currently spawned — check it before you commit to a route.
The developer's own description of the game is exactly this loop: find eggs around the map, hatch rarer and faster pets to find rarer eggs. Nothing about it involves a shop.
2. Use the radar for the tier you are hunting
Radars reveal one egg rarity tier each and cannot be turned off once purchased. Advanced ($50) tracks Rare eggs, Jewel ($3,000) Epic, Royal ($20,000) Legendary, Magic ($300,000) Mythic, Angelic ($7M) Divine and Eternal ($30M) Ethereal.
Match the radar to your target and leave Auto-Buy on. Buying a radar for the wrong tier wastes a slot you cannot switch off. The 399 Robux Infinite Radar game pass removes that restock cycle entirely.
There is no documented radar that filters by individual egg — the filter granularity is the rarity band, which is why knowing which band your target sits in matters. The full band listing is in the luck guide.
3. Why there is no reliable per-egg location list
This is the honest answer to the most-asked Ride A Pet question. The community source that documents the map names zone landmarks — Spawn Area, Mutation Ranch, Wood Egg Stand, Oasis Market, Aquatic Egg Basin and so on — but it does not map any individual egg to any zone.
That means every list you find elsewhere claiming 'Black Hole Egg spawns here' is either describing the landmark area rather than a verified spawn point, or inventing it. We do not publish those mappings, because we cannot verify them.
What is verifiable is the mechanic itself: the rarity band, the radar that tracks it, the roughly 20-second window, the roughly 8-minute cycle and the in-game Index. Those five things are enough to find any egg without a fabricated map.
4. The verified method: radar plus speed plus Index
Step 1 — decide which rarity band holds your target and buy that radar, leaving Auto-Buy on so it restocks.
Step 2 — check the in-game Index for what is currently spawned before you move.
Step 3 — ride your fastest pet, not your richest one. Reaching an egg is a pure speed problem, and the window is the constraint.
Step 4 — treat it as a loop. Since eggs reset on roughly an 8-minute cycle, staying in one session and sweeping repeatedly beats logging in and out.
That last point is the one players underrate: because spawns are cyclic rather than random-per-visit, a repeatable sweep route is the whole technique.
5. The Ethereal eggs: Black Hole, Cherub and Volcanic
The Ethereal tier holds the hardest spawns in the game: Black Hole at 100,000,000,000 luck, Cherub at 1,000,000,000,000 luck, and — since the September 26 Volcanic update — the Volcanic Egg at 2,500,000,000,000 luck.
They are why speed matters even for players who only farm money: without a fast mount you physically cannot cross the map inside the spawn window. Black Hole and Cherub are hunted with the Eternal Radar; community guides consistently report the Volcanic Egg is the one Ethereal egg the Eternal Radar does not track.
Black Hole and Cherub get their own treatment in the Ethereal eggs guide.
6. The luck ladder underneath them
The full progression runs White (1 luck) → Brown (5) → Cracked (30) → Easter (50) → Stone (100) → Leaf (200) → Mushroom (500) → Flower (750) → Slime (1,000) → Ice (3,000) → Glass (10,000) → Golden (30,000) → Crystal (150,000) → Skull (250,000) → Dominus (700,000) → Flaming (1M) → Sinister (3M) → Soul (7M) → Aurora (300M) → Galaxy (1.5B) → Black Hole (100B) → Cherub (1T) → Volcanic (2.5T).
The full table with rarities is on the eggs page.
7. The Volcanic Egg route — what is actually verified
The Volcanic Egg spawns in the Dragon's Lair inside the volcano on Volcano Island, the biome added by the Volcanic update. Community route guides agree on the shape of the run: fly in (a Phoenix-class flying pet is the practical minimum), descend through the volcano's cavern passages to the lair, grab the egg, and get out.
What the guides describe is a two-timer run: roughly 20 seconds to escape the lair once you pick the egg up, then the usual carry-home timer before the Egg Will Break break point. That makes the Volcanic Egg the one hunt where practising the exit route before grabbing is part of the method, not paranoia.
The egg's 2.5T luck value is corroborated by multiple independent sources, and it hatches into the Griffin chase (1 in 15Qi, stats not yet released). Solaris and any exact second Black Hole location remain not published until two independent sources verify the same data. We do not assign an individual egg to a zone beyond what the route guides consistently describe.
Frequently asked questions
How often do eggs respawn in Ride A Pet?
Eggs reset on roughly an 8-minute cycle, and each individual spawn only lasts about 20 seconds before it disappears. The in-game Index shows how many of each egg are currently on the map.
Where do Black Hole and Cherub eggs spawn in Ride A Pet?
No source maps those eggs to a zone. The community map documents zone landmarks such as the Oasis Market and Aquatic Egg Basin but never links an individual egg to one, so the reliable method is the Eternal Radar plus enough speed to cross the map inside the roughly 20-second window. The Volcanic Egg is the exception with a consistent community route: the Dragon's Lair inside the Volcano Island volcano.
Which radar finds which egg in Ride A Pet?
Radars filter by rarity band, not by individual egg: Advanced $50 finds Rare, Jewel $3,000 Epic, Royal $20,000 Legendary, Magic $300,000 Mythic, Angelic $7M Divine and Eternal $30M Ethereal.
